  Virtual Pass Fitness Classes |Can’t make it into the DGLC to take a class, then Virtual classes are the way to go! Our virtual classes will be run simultaneously with our current fitness classes! Work out alongside DGLC fitness class members from the comfort of your own home. Just look for the classes marked with the home symbol. Some fitness enthusiasts have already been taking advantage of the three virtual classes offered by Silvia for $15 per month. Those that wish to continue to participate in only Silvia’s morning classes can continue with that rate. Many more virtual classes have been added to our Monthly Core Pass membership that includes unlimited in-person and virtual classes for $35 per month for residents ($40 for non-residents). Many new classes have been added and more are being added as new instructors join the team. Monthly core passes are effective for the calendar month. You can be charged a pro-rated amount for the remaining current calendar month to get to the start of new month. You must have Zoom account to participate in virtual classes. (SA)

Monday
11:15-Noon Chair Yoga | Catering especially, but not exclusively to those who cannot easily get up and down from the floor, this 45 minute class will guide participants through gentle seated and standing poses to stretch and relieve tension in the body.  The class focuses on developing mobility, strength and balance while incorporating breath and relaxation techniques.  You will even raise your heart rate with some cardio exercises and fun seated dances! 5-6P Wheels and Wilderness Fitness Fusion | This class, which runs every Monday in June, is a balanced mix of indoor cycling and outdoor workouts to achieve a full body workout by the end of class. In case of inclement weather workout will stay indoors. Debbie C. Varble Park/ Racquetball Court
6-7P Vinyasa Flow Yoga | A dynamic form of yoga that uses breath to link physical yoga postures in a flowing sequence. Karissa Exercise/Varble Park
7:15-8:15P   SH1FT-L1FT | Sh1ft+L1ft is a full-body workout where disciplines like yoga and pilates meet HIIT training followed by strength training and conditioning to sculpt lean, strong muscles. It combines strength, mobility, balance, core, speed and agility to tone muscles, turning the body into a fat burning machine long after the workout is over! Traci Exercise

10-11A    Zumba® Gold | This class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion, and coordination. This class is designed for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower intensity. Silvia Exercise
11:15A-Noon    Zumba® Gold + Drum Fitness (Seated)| The seated Zumba Gold/Drum Fitness class is perfect for those dancing enthusiasts who need modifications, those with limited mobility or those just starting to exercise after a long period of inactivity. The mix of classes—30 minutes of Zumba Gold followed by 15 minutes of drum fitness and a final stretch—is a fun way to exercise your body and mind with coordinated moves. Silvia Exercise
1-1:45P Kids Yoga* | Yoga is a fun way for kids to build fitness and learn techniques for concentrating, reducing stress and connecting to their bodies in a loving way, incorporating age-appropriate yoga poses, creative movement, breathing exercises, games, mindfulness and relaxation. 6-7P 20/20/20 | This class offers three segments, 20 minutes each, of different types of cardio, strength and core-based formats that change every week. 7:15-8:15P  Zumba® | With Zumba classes we take the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. It’s a serious dose of awesome each time you leave a class. Tony Exercise

 

Wednesday
9-10A Tai Chi |  Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art being discovered in the West as a health exercise. It is a gentle exercise that is suitable for people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels. This class brings the mind, body and spirit together with isometric, balance and leg-strengthening exercises.  Movements are executed slowly and precisely to learn proper body alignment.  Numerous scientific studies have shown these exercises are a great way to beat stress. 10-11A Silver Sneakers Classic | Silver Sneakers Classic participants can use a variety of equipment such as hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball to focus on strengthening muscles and increasing range of movement for daily life activities. Often a chair is used for seated exercises or standing support. Sherri Exercise
6-7P Strength & Flexibility Yoga | This yoga class is for those interested in yoga but are unsure if they are flexible or strong enough for the poses. Half of the class will focus on strengthening the muscles in both static and dynamic movements, followed by stretches to lengthen and loosen any tightness that remains. All are welcome. 7:15-8P Aqua Zumba® | Make a splash by adding this low-impact, high-energy aquatic exercise to any fitness routine! Aqua Zumba® blends the Zumba® philosophy with water resistance for an unforgettable pool party. With less impact on joints, participants can really let loose. Water creates natural resistance, which means every step is more challenging and helps tone muscles. Class is free with a Water Park membership or Core Class pass Traci Water Park

10-10:45A   Core Foundations | Seeking a healthier lifestyle? Learn simple movements to regain and develop good posture. Classes will incorporate body weight exercises as well as yoga movements to correct rounded shoulders and build bone density. 10-11A In Motion! | Good mobility and range of motion involves many components, including muscle strength, flexibility, joint health, motor control, body awareness, agility and more. In this chair-based class, you will utilize techniques that help expand your current range of motion and flexibility while improving the articulation of your joints. An improved mobility not only mitigates the risk of injury in everyday life but also improves strength gains both in and out of the class setting. This class is especially beneficial for those with limited range or motion due to arthritis or a long-term physical inactivity to help you reteach your body to move. 4-5P Zumba® Kids* Back by popular demand! Zumba® Kids classes are high-energy dance parties designed to combine movement, music, games and cultural exploration elements into each class, with kid-friendly routines and music like hip-hop, reggaeton, cumbia and more. 5:30-6:15P TRX |  TRX is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. 9-10A   Zumba® Multi-Level | This class is perfect for everybody and every body! Designed for all ages and fitness levels, modifications will be provided to decrease or increase the speed, impact and intensity of the moves so everyone can get a total workout at their own fitness level combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility – in an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party!
